EnlightAID is a platform for fundraising and transparency management for socially conscious and charitable Projects created by Users (the “Project Creators”) in the name of the Organisation they represent and which is profiled on our Site. We shall ensure that Projects seeking funding through the Site have, in our reasonable opinion, the goal of advancing a social purpose.
We make no projections on the anticipated performance of a Project published on the site, the ability in which a Project is completed may depend on factors outside of the control of Project Creator and the Organisation they represent, for which EnlightAID does not accept responsibility. However, challenges faced by the Project during the Live Project staged must be reported by the Project Creator in the name of the Organisation they represent to the Donors through the Site as detailed in the Live Project Stage section.
From Project Creation, through Project Campaign, Live Project Stage and up to Project Completion, Project Creators, the Organisation they represent and Team Members owe their donors honest communication, dedication and a high standard of effort to bring the project to life.
PROJECT CREATION AND PROJECT CAMPAIGN
EnlightAID allows certain users (“Project Creators”) to list Projects and raise funds from other users (Donors). Each Project Creator must, in the name of the Organisation they represent, set a date as the deadline for the Project Campaign and a Funding Goal. Each Donor may donate any amount to the Project via Donation payments, this will be executed as detailed in the Funding Section.
By agreeing to create a Project on EnlightAID or otherwise using this Site, you are agreeing to provide truthful, complete information at all stages of a Project and of all activities performed on this Site. Before a Project is published as a Project Campaign, EnlightAID will review all the information provided by the Project Creator and may ask for additional information before approving the publication of the Campaign.
Project Creators are permitted to offer, in the name of the Organisation they represent, Rewards to Donors. When a Project is successfully funded, the Project Creator and the Organisation they represent are responsible for completing the project and fulfilling all Rewards.
Once Projects have been that have been successfully funded the Project Creator and the Organisation they represent must name a Project Manager who will be in charge of providing continuous information on the activities and ALL payments that take place in order to complete a project. EnlightAID does not control and is not responsible for the use of the Site by any Organisation, their Project Manager, their Team Member, or any other User and accepts no liability for any loss as a result of an Organisation or User’s acts or omissions. Project Creators, the Organisations they represent, and Project Teams (collectively the “Project’s Team”) are solely responsible for providing truthful, complete information on the execution of the payments and activities of their projects.
By agreeing to create a Project on the Platform, you are agreeing to share through the Site all information on payments executed in order to complete that Project as well as information on the activities taking place. Before marking a Project as Completed, the Project’s Team must account of how, where and when all the funds were used, proving they have used the funds appropriately and made every reasonable effort to complete the project as promised. Failure to provide truthful and complete information on Payments can be used by EnlightAID as grounds to terminate or suspend any Accounts associated to the Project (including but not exclusively Organisation Account, Project Creator’s Personal Account, Project Manager’s Personal Account and all Team Member Accounts) and to issue a notification on our Site regarding the grounds for Account suspension or termination.
The Project’s Team must also provide post and updates that explain the work that has been done and are expected to work diligently and in good faith to bring the project to completion. All members of a Project Team are expected to be honest and make no material misrepresentations in their communications to Donors.
If a Project cannot be completed or a Reward fulfilled, the Project’s Team has failed to live up to the obligations of the agreement established between them and the Donors for which EnlightAID accepts no responsibility or liability. The Project’s Team is responsible for fulfilling the promises made in their Campaign and may be subject to legal action by Donors if they are unable to satisfy the terms of this agreement.
A Project’s Team may apply for further funding in order to complete the project by launching a Complementary Campaign. Complementary Campaigns may only be created when associated to a Live Project and will depend on the acceptance of the Donors.
The Project Creator and the Organisation they represent are legally bound to perform on any promise and/or commitment to Donors, including delivering any Rewards offered on the Campaign. If the Project’s Team is unable to fulfil a reward or any other commitment to its Donors, the Project’s Team must work with the Donors to reach an agreement which may include refunding their Donations.
All Rewards associated with Projects featured on EnlightAID are supplied by the Organisation to the Donors directly. We have no role in the delivery of such Rewards and make no representations or warranties regarding the quality, appearance, suitability or adequacy of such Rewards. We accept no responsibility in providing any Reward that appears on this Site.
In order to deliver a Reward Project Teams may request information from you, such as mailing address or clothing size. They will request the information after the campaign has succeeded, during the Live Project Stage. Donors will have to provide the requested information in a reasonable amount of time to receive the Reward.
Estimated Delivery Dates have no guarantee, they are the Project’s Team estimate of when they will be able to provide the Reward, however schedules might change as the Project’s Team work on the Project. Project Team’s must estimate the dates to the best of their abilities and communicate Donors about any changes to the Estimated Delivery Dates.
Rewards are non-refundable. The Project’s Team is entirely responsible of the delivery of all Rewards, for which EnlightAID holds no responsibility.
RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN DONORS AND PROJECT’S TEAMS
When a Donor agrees to support a project they are forming a contract with the Project Creator and are hereby accepting the creator’s offer, if and when the Organisation names a different person to act as Project Manager all responsibilities of the contract will be taken by the Project Manager and the Organisation they represent. EnlightAID is not part of this contract, the contract is a direct agreement between the Project Creator and their Donors. EnlightAID will not guarantee that Donations will be used as promised, however, as stated in the Live Project section the Project’s Team agree to provide the information of all use of funds through the platform throughout the duration of the Project. EnlightAID does not guarantee that the Project’s Team will deliver the Rewards, or that the Campaign or Live Projects will achieve their goals.
Donors are responsible for asking questions and investigating Project Creators, the Organisations they represent and all other members of the Project’s Team to the extent they feel is necessary before donating. Prospective Donors should be aware that any donation is given towards helping advance a social purpose and their might be changes or delays, as wells as a chance of something that could prevent the Project Team from completing a Project as promised. Donors are solely responsible for choosing how to treat their Donations and Rewards. Making a Donation to a Project does not give Donors any rights to that Project.
All users acknowledge that EnlightAID may attempt to verify the identity and any other information provided at any given time.
By agreeing to donate to a project, all Donors will provide payment information. If by the fundraising deadline of a Project, the fundraising goal is met, then the Company will charge each Donor the amount that he or she has donated to the Project. 95% of the Amount raised by the Project will be transferred to the PayPal account associated to the Organisation, minus PayPal’s processing fees. 5% of the funds raised will be consider payment for using the Service (“Service Fee”). If the Project Campaign’s Funding Goal is not met, EnlightAID will not charge any amount and all donations to the project will be canceled.
EnlightAID will reserve a charge on a donor’s credit card, from the time of donation until the end of the campaign.
The donation amount or selected Reward can be changed by the Donors at any given time before the last 48 hours of the campaign.
If a Donation cannot be collected (for example when a Donor’s credit card expires before funding ends, the amount paid to the Project associated Account will be less than the funding as initially stated by the end of the Campaign. EnlightAID does not make any guarantees regarding the fairness or performance of PayPal.
When a project is completed and money is left
When a project is completed and there is money left that has not been spent, EnlightAID will aim to give a percentage (minus the transaction fees) back to each Donor and also give the Donor the option to donate the amount to a different project. The functionality to perform these functions has however not been developed yet, so EnlightAID will not guarantee that this will be possible in the first projects being run on the platform.
As donations are distributed to recipients, the recipients are responsible for taxation in the countries that the funds are transferred to. EnlightAID AS is not responsible for taxation in the individual countries.

Rules to Start a Project
Hello there, we are really happy to have you here! EnlightAID is a place where you can fundraise for all kinds of charitable, social and environmental projects, allowing you to manage your project and communicate with your donors with complete transparency. In order for this to work, we have created a few rules to even the playing field.
Projects must be created with a charitable, socially or environmentally conscious goal in mind and must be clearly presented.
EnlightAID allows you to get your bright ideas off the ground, it can be used to provide access to safe drinking water, education, healthcare, emergency relief or advance woman’s issues just to name a few. That being said, every project needs to have a clear plan for creating something that brings good to our world, a well defined budget and a timeline that shows your donors how long is going to take for a project to be completed.
All projects must be honest and completely transparent in their fund management and use.
EnlightAID provides you with the tools you need to bring transparency to your project. All Projects must run with an Open Book Policy, this means you agree to share the information on all payments done to make the project a reality through the tools given by to you EnlightAID to run your Live Project. Please do not try to trick our system in any way, any project breaking the rules may have all accounts associated with the Project (including but not exclusively al the Project’s Team Members Personal Accounts, Project Manager Account, Project Creator Account and Organisation Account) terminated and EnlightAID can issue a statement regarding the grounds for this termination to be publicly displayed on our site.
Projects who have fundraised through EnlightAID must run their projects as a Live Project on the platform
Once you have raised the money you need to make your project a reality you are obligated to run your project on the Live Project platform. Here you must run your project transparently and are encouraged to share as much information on the activities taking place as possible. We believe in keeping your donors informed and engaged in the development of your project from beginning to end.
Projects cannot offer cash as a reward
This one is pretty straight forward, please do not offer cash to your donors.
